Description
This instrument measured the current Oil Temperature of the engine. It was located on the main instrument panel of the aircraft.
Made of brass, aluminum, and steel, this instrument is of mid/late-war manufacture. It was recovered from a downed Japanese aircraft during the war. It still retains 90% of it’s original finish, but the data plate is missing. There are some slight marks and scratches due to the age, but nothing that takes away from the overall appearance. The dial still glows when UV light is applied, and the switch functions perfectly. The AMAZING feature is that it still retains the original capture tag! I have shown its location in the last photo. Like most Japanese instruments, this gauge is VERY rare and would be a FANTASTIC addition to any Japanese Instrument Collection.
