Description
The Zusatztankwähler (auxiliary fuel tank selector valve) was an important component within the fuel system of German Luftwaffe aircraft, most notably the Messerschmitt Me109. Mounted at the firewall, it allowed the pilot to control and switch between internal fuel tanks and external drop tanks during flight. This capability was critical for extending operational range and managing fuel consumption in combat and ferry operations. These valves were precision-engineered components, designed to ensure reliable fuel flow and quick selection under demanding flight conditions.
Made of aluminum and steel, this Fuel Tank Selector Valve (Zusatztankwähler) and Mount are in SUPERB unused condition! The unit shows only slight marks and wear from storage, as well as light oxidation…but nothing that detracts. It is COMPLETE as a unit with all ports intact and undamaged, as well as a clear Data Plate! Still comes factory sealed, and is 100% mechanically functional! There are NO cracks, dents, or damage that I can see. I have shown its location in the last image. Overall, a SUPERB and ORIGINAL Luftwaffe fuel system component from the Me109, PERFECT for any collection, display, or restoration project!
