You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Presentation Shield! Featuring the Squadron Logo of Kü.Fl.Gr.406(Küstenfliegergruppe 406), this would have been presented for various accomplishments throughout the war.
Kü.Fl.Gr.40 Was a Coastal Reconnasiance Squadron, that flew the He59 Twin-Engines Float plane in the early years of the wat. They flews reconnaissance missions in the North Sea area from List on Sylt. It was later designamted Kü.Fl.Gr.506, and flew the He60, Do18, Bv138, and He115.
Made of a carved and painted wood, this is an AMAZING one-of-a-kind item! This is the emblem of Kü.Fl.Gr.406, and would have been presented for special accomplishments. There are some minor marks, scratches, wear, but is in otherwise EXCELLENT condition for it’s age. Colors are VERY vibrant! Approx. 6″ x 7″ in size, it would make a PERFECT item for any collection or display!
