You are bidding on a SUPERB and AIRWORTHY example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Aircraft Spornhalterung (Tail Gear Uplock Assembly), 109.100-19! This type was ONLY used on all Me109 E thru G series aircraft!
This support assembly was located at the rear of the fuselage. It locked the tail gear in the downward / extended position.
Made of aluminum and steel, this Tail Gear Main Uplock is in VERY NICE condition! This was restored by using both original, and new-made airworthy parts, and has only some slight wear and marks from storage. I have shown its location in the last photos. Would make an PERFECT addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!
