You are bidding on a FANTASTIC example of a WW1 French Air Service RCEP Type 913 Pilot Signal Flare Pistol! These were stored in the cockpit for both on the ground signaling, and for in the air.

Made of aluminum and steel, this Flare Pistol is in EXCELLENT used condition! Made early in the war, it retains approx. 50% original paint and finish! Made to easily fit in the palm, there are some very slight marks and wear, but nothing that detracts. 100% complete, it is totally functional! All manufacture markings are clear. Fires 22mm flare cartridges. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
