Description

You are bidding on a VERY RARE WW2 German Luftwaffe Starterschalter Klappe (Starter Switch Cover), as used on various starter handles such as the Fl. 21211, Fl. 21212, Fl. 21213, etc.

This cover was produced between 1938 and 1945. It was the main cover for the starter handle which engaged the engine for start-up, and was located on the left side of almost all fighters and bombers, such as the Me109, Fw190, Me262, Ju88, Ju87, Me110, He219 and others!

Made of aluminum, this cover plate is in FANTASTIC used condition. Much of the original paint remains, however there is some dirt and marks due to the age. The spring is also 100% functional! I have indicated it’ s location in the last photos. Would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection, panel re-build, or restoration project!
