WW2 US Army – M1943 M43 COMBAT FIELD JACKET – SIZE 34R – VERY NICE!

 You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a 100% ORIGINAL WW2 US Army M43 / M1943 Combat Field Jacket!!

First issued during the Winter of 1943-44 to select troops fighting in Italy, this outfit was finally issued in the ETO starting in September, 1943, and to replacements being equipped in the United States. The uniform became common place by December and prevalent by early Spring 1945. This jacket and trouser is the clothing given to all soldiers except paratroopers.

Made of water resistant cotton, this M1943 Combat Field Jacket is in EXCELLENT used condition. Clearly identifiable, I acquired this last month for a film I was working on, titled, “Breakthrough”. It is the EXACT helmet I am wearing shown in the last image. That photo was taken on the first day of filming, but as the days went on, it naturally got dirty from wet dirt and snow. I have left it as-is, but it should clean up nicely. All buttons are present, apart from one of the main button at the front (easy replacement). Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
