WW2 German Wehrmacht Werkzeugkasten – MG TOOLS STORAGE BOX – Panzer Sd.Kfz. NICE

You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a 100% original WW2 German Wehrmacht Panzer & Sd.Kfz. MG Werkzeugkasten (Machine Gun Tool Box)! This box was SPECIFICALLY carried inside tanks and armoured vehicles, to store tools and spare parts for the MG 34/42. 

Made of steel and wood, and used to transport various tool, lubricants, and spare parts, this box is in EXCELLENT used condition! Found in Europe, there are some very slight marks, wear, and surface corrosion, however it is still VERY SOLID and retains 90% original paint! Paint consists of the standard interior white, as used by all tanks…with an over-paint of Dunkelgelb (indicating, it was most likely used in an open top vehicle, like an Sd.Kfz.). This was originally a storage box for the crew headsets/throat mics (see last pics), but was converted by the crew for use as MG spare parts. Though I am not sure of the contents, the wood mount was used to hold the two different sizes of cleaning brushes. The original stencil indicating “MG. Werkzeug” is still VERY clear. Hinge and latches function 100% correctly! Could also be cleaned up quite easily for display! EXCEPTIONALLY RARE in this condition, it would be a PERFECT addition to any collection or restoration project!
