Description
You are bidding on a FANTASTIC example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht 8-day Stationsuhr Duty Clock! Used in Radio Command Vehicles and Communication stations, this was brought back by a US Serviceman, and was captured from the Headquarters in Münsingen, Germany.
Made of wood and stamped steel, this clock was manufactured in 1942. It is a SUPERB example, and EASILY one of the best ones I have ever seen of its type! Obtained from a veteran estate, it was captured from the Wehrmacht Headquarters in Münsingen, Germany. There are some slight scratches and marks due to the age, but nothing that detracts. The scratches shown in the photos is just crazing on the plastic crystal (it is NOT on the dial). It does not detract very much, and I may have a replacement for the winning bidder, so please inquire if interested. Features a NICE Waffenamt on the inside as well as an impressed date of 1942. 1005 FUNCTIONAL, it comes with a copy of a letter, where the veteran inquired about it’s history to a local collector’s magazine. Clock depicted in the letter is the exact one being sold. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
