You are bidding on a VERY NICE used example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe +50/-20 m/s Variometer (Climb/Decent Gauge), Fl. 22382, as used ONLY in the Me109 K4 and Me262 Turbo Jet aircraft!
This instrument measured the vertical speed climb/decent using the surrounding air pressure. It was located on the main instrument panel of many German aircraft.
Made of brown bakelite, this is instrument ins in EXCELLENT used condition! It was manufactured in 1944/45, and features some slight marks and wear, due to the age. The data label is 65% intact, with a period ink stamp, indicating, Fl. 22382! Removed from an aircraft, however the needle appears to be stuck in the horizontal position (would need a full overhaul for functionality). I have indicated it’s location in the last photo. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
