Description
This aluminum and brass oxygen system was the main oxygen system control for the Rear Gunner / Radio Operator. This was located on the starboard wall of the rear cockpit, for easy access.
This Oxygen System is an INCREDIBLE piece of history! The steel and aluminum mount is 100% complete and retains MUCH of the original paint and finish! The camouflage cockpit paint consists of EARLY Black (RLM22), and Gray (RLM02), as opposed to the mid-war RLM66 (Grey). Some slight cracks and bends due to impact from the crash, but nothing that detracts.
The Sauerstoffdusche (Fl. 30403-2) is also complete, retaining 95% of its original paint and finish! Some very slight corrosion, but appears to be 100% functional!
The Sauerstoffdruckmesser is in EXCELLENT condition, and is made of aluminum and steel. It dates around 1939 and 1940, and retains traces of the original paint on the housing, and blue anodized paint around the bezel. It includes the original brass line that connects to the Sauerstoffdusche, but there is some slight damage, as you can see in the photos.
The Sauerstoff Wächter is also in EXCELLENT used condition, and though was originally made with a blue aluminum housing. most of the finish has faded. It dates between 1939 and 1940, and includes the original brass line that connects to the Sauerstoffdusche, but again, with some slight damage as you can see in the photos.
All the bolts and hardware are all of 100% original to this system, with NO newly-made hardware or part added post-war! I have indicated it’s location in the last photos. Having never seen another one in 20+ years of collecting, it is a VERY RARE item, perfect for any collection, display, or restoration project!Powered by SixBit’s eCommerce Solution
