Description
You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Messbrücke fur Freileitungen (Measuring Device for Overhead Lines), Ln. 19020! This was used to test the electrical currents running through communication lines between headquarter and field units.
This Testing Unit was used by field teams to check the current, capacity, frequency, isolation, and resistance of various overhead communication lines.
Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel, this testing unit is in EXCELLENT used condition. Though there are some scratches, marks, and wear, it appears to be 100% complete! Retains 95% of it’s original finish, and features NO damage! The data plate is 100% intact, clearly indicating, “Messbrücke fur Freileitungen, Ln. 19020“. Appears to have seven separate settings for the Current, Type, Resistance, Capacity, Isolation, Resistance, and others! It is 100% mechanically functional, however I have not tested it electrically. Comes complete in the original case, with the original electrical schematic on the inside. The front cover is missing, however, this is the same size and design of the Torn Eb transceiver, so it should be quite easy to replace the cover if ones wished. I have never seen another one, making it VERY RARE! Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
