Description
You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe 400 – 3600 U/min Elek. Ferndrehzahlmesseranzeiger (Electrical Tachometer), Fl. 20269, as used ONLY in the Me109 G-K, and Fw190D thru Ta152!
This is the final version of this type of gauge, and is dated around 1945. It was used in only 2 German aircraft, the late Me109 and Fw190. It displayed the engine RPM of the DB605 and Jumo213 Engines, and was located on the main instrument panel of the aircraft.
Made with a bakelite housing, this instrument is in EXCELLENT unused condition and all dials work smoothly and correctly. Some slight marks due to the age, but there are no major dents or damage! This is the LATER and SIMPLIFIED type that features a shorter needle than the others of this model, as well as NO indicator markings on the face (just the numbers). Missing the two connector pins at the back, but those would be easy to replace. Fl. label has worn away over time. I have shown its location in the last photos. A PERFECT addition to any collection, restoration project, or simply for display!
