Description
You are bidding on an SUPERB and NEW OLD STOCK example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Aufbauselbstschalter (Breaker Switch), Fl.32408-2! This original electrical component formed part of the onboard electrical system used across numerous Luftwaffe aircraft types, including the Me109, Fw190 Me262, Ju87, Ju88, Me110, and others!
The Fl.32408-2 was a standardized 10A automatic circuit breaker used within the Luftwaffe Bordnetz, or onboard electrical network. Official equipment references identify it as an Aufbauselbstschalter, Gerät-Nr. 126-631 B-1, with documented production by LGW-Hakenfelde of Berlin under Siemens and also by Wickmann Werke. These breakers protected individual aircraft electrical circuits from overloads and faults and were used throughout the electrical installations of numerous Luftwaffe aircraft rather than being limited to a single aircraft type. Surviving wartime examples are highly useful for accurate cockpit, electrical-panel, and airframe restorations.
Made of aluminum, bakelite, and steel by Siemens, this Circuit Breaker Switch is in EXCEPTIONAL NEW OLD STOCK condition! There are NO cracks, breaks, repairs, heavy corrosion, or signs of installation, with only the most minor storage wear from age! Unused, and retains approximately 99% of its original wartime finish, and all the original markings remain present and clearly identify the unit as Fl.32408-2, 10A. Everything present is 100% ORIGINAL wartime manufacture. An EXCELLENT opportunity to acquire a virtually untouched original Luftwaffe electrical circuit breaker for a cockpit restoration, aircraft electrical installation, museum display, or advanced aviation collection!
