Description
Mounted on the main instrument panel, this clock needs no introduction. It was made famous throughout the war as the standard German Aircraft Cockpit Clock. It was usually mounted on the front or side cockpit consoles and features a chronometer, adjustable bezel, and a 30-minute timer.
Made of aluminum with a bakelite bezel, this 2nd model Junghans clock is in AMAZING used condition! This type of clock is featured on page 327 of author Konrad Knirim’s book titled, “Military Timepieces”. It retains 95% of its original RLM66 surface paint, and features the screw on back. Some light marks and scratches throughout from age, but nothing that take away from the overall appearance. It is clearly marked on the back:

This specific aicraft was coded GC+BV, and served with the Flugzeugführerschule A/B 113 (Pilot School A/B 113), which was based in Udetfeld, Upper Silesia. In October 1944, it was noted as being part of the FFS A/B 113. 100% FUNCTIONAL, it would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, panel re-build, or restoration project!
