You are bidding on a VERY NICE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Aircraft Kraftstoff-Ablasspumpe (Electric Fuel Pump), 8-4544 H used in the main fuel tanks of various Fighter and Bomber aircraft. This type of pump was located directly inside the fuel tank of the aircraft.
Made of aluminum and steel, this Fuel Pump is in EXCELLENT unused condition! Though there are some marks, scratches, and wear, due to the age, there is NO damage! These types of pumps had a part number suffix that denoted the length of the pump. Though this is the correct total length for an Me109 Fuel Pump (790mm), it is marked as an 8-4544 H, as opposed to 8-4544 K. Recovered from WNF Diana at war’s end, so it is most likely just a late variant. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
