Description
You are bidding on a VERY NICE used example of a WW2 German Kriegsmarine Issue Junghans Stop Watch! This was issued to U-Boat crews for torpedo timing!
Produced for the German Navy, these stop watches were used for the measurement of torpedo running times and depth charge detonation.
Made of a steel case, this German-made Junghans Stop Watch is in EXCELLENT functioning condition. Though the crystal shows some light scratches, the dial and hands are in near MINT condition, with NO damage or corrosion! Note that because I use a camera flash, the scratches show up more pronounced than they actually are. The manufacture name is clearly marked on the face, and was manufactured between 1939 and 1945. Being in used condition, the case does show some signs of wear (scratches, marks, patina), but it is in otherwise VERY NICE condition for its age. Features the “KM” Property Marking (Adler) on the dial. Sadly, the balance staff is broken, so it is currently NOT FUNCTIONAL. These are very common movements, so it should be easy to just swap out with another 29a, and simply remove the dial. A VERY nice and original item for any collection, or display!
