Description
Made of a brass with a nickel-plated case, this Julius Haffner Torpedo Timing Stop Watch is in EXCELLENT functioning condition! Though the crystal shows some light scratches, the dial and hands are in VERY NICE condition, with NO major damage or corrosion! Note that because I use a camera flash, the scratches show more pronounced than they actually are in person. The manufacture name is clearly marked on the face, and was manufactured in 1914. “Pola” (which is written on the dial) was a major Navy Base, and was home to various battleships, submarines, and seaplanes. The inside of the cover features the official “K.u.K Kriegs-Marine” (Imperial and Royal Navy of Austria) Stamp. Being in used condition, the case does show some signs of wear (scratches, marks, patina), but it is in otherwise VERY NICE condition for its age. Though it is 100% FUNCTIONAL, the movement has not been serviced in 30 years, I would suggest getting it cleaned for daily use. A VERY nice and original item for any collection, or display!
