Description
Made of a rich deep brown leather, this helmet is in EXCELLENT used condition! Dating between 1937 and 1939, it is constructed of 5 separate pieces of brown leather, with a 1″ wide brim at the front. The ear cups are sewn-on leather pockets, designed to fit the Gosport receiver, and the reverse features a leather strap to retain the pilot goggles. No cloth labels are present internally, as they did not become standard practice until 1939. All straps, snaps, and buckles work as they should, and there is NO damage or tears! Some wear and marks throughout, due to the age. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
