Description
Made of brass and aluminum, this is a VERY RARE example! Some slight wear, marks, and paint flaking, due to the age, but nothing that detracts. The veteran added some English translations to the front, but these markings can easily be rubbed off, if one wished. This is SPECIFIC to Tanks, Armored Vehicles, and Radio Trucks, due to the shock mounts that attach to the side. Sadly, the rubber has hardened over time (typical for Japanese rubber), so they have all come off. The mounts are VERY similar to the US Jeep Shock/Vibration Mounts, so they could repaired if one wished. 100% COMPLETE, it also has all the original tubes. The data plate is 100% INTACT and clearly indicates:
Radio Transmitter-Receiver April 1944 Tokyo Shibaura Electronics, Co., Ltd. Telecommunications Industry Branch Company, Amazu Factory I have not found any information online in regards to this specific radio, but I have shown a VERY similar tanker Radio set-up in the last image. Like most Japanese WW2 radios, this is VERY RARE, and would make a PERFECT addition to any Japanese collection! Please email me if you need additional photos or information. |
