Description
You are bidding on a VERY NICE used example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht Issue Junghans Stop Watch! Issued to Artillery crews, this EXACT watch is featured in Dr. Konrad Knirim’s, “Military Timepieces” book.
Made of a Nickel case, this German-made Junghans Stop Watch is in EXCELLENT functioning condition, and is featured on page 427 in Dr. Konrad Knirim’s, “Military Timepieces” book. Though the crystal shows some light scratches, the dial and hands are in near MINT condition, with NO damage or corrosion! Note that because I use a camera flash, the scratches show up more pronounced than they actually are in-person. The manufacture name is clearly marked on the face, and was manufactured in 1942. Being in used condition, the case does show some signs of wear (scratches, marks, patina), but it is in otherwise VERY NICE condition for its age. The reverse is stamped with the WH Property Marking. Though it is 100% functional, the movement has not been serviced in 30 years, so I would suggest getting it cleaned for daily use. A VERY nice and original item for any collection, or display!
