You are bidding on a FANTASTIC and VERY RARE example of a WW2 Japanese Navy Seikosha Commander Deck Watch! Comes complete in the original box!
A LARGE 65mm size, this Seikosha Commander Deck Watch is in AMAZING functioning condition! Though larger in size, it features the standard pocket watch movement, having 7 Jewels, and able to run for 36 hours. Has the earlier Roman numerals, with a smaller sub dial for seconds. The manufacture name is clearly marked on the face, indicating, “Seikosha”. Rear of the case appears to read:
Sa (Sasebo Navy Base)
Kosaka Clock Second Class
Still functions PERFECTLY! Some very slight marks and scratches due to the age, but otherwise SUPERB! Inside the dust cover is a prominent Navy Anchor stamp, and it comes complete in the original and MATCHING serial numbered box! Inside the box are a spare key, a couple of extra crystals, and main spring. All are original to this set! Definitely used in the war, as it features some original Japanese paper, containing some hand-written notations. Like most Japanese items, it is a VERY RARE item, perfect for any collection or display!
