Description
You are bidding on a VERY NICE Barn-Find example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht Pertrix No.678 Flashlight (Feld Taschenlampe)! This was a standard issue item, used by all branches, including the Heer, Luftwaffe, and Kriegsmarine!
The field flashlight was a standard issue item for all ranks and featured various colored lenses for signaling or darker lenses for camouflage purposes.
Made of lightweight steel, this flashlight is a recent Normandy Barn-Find. Retaining approx. 90% of its original black paint, there are some slight marks, wear, dents, and scratches due to the age, but VERY solid otherwise! The company name “Pertrix” is clearly stamped into the front, as well as the model #678. The switch on the side flips up a dark filter. On/Off switch is featured at the top, but it is currently stuck, due to corrosion. The back features a leather strap to allow the light to be strapped to the users uniform. The interior still retains all of is component parts including the light bulb. Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
