Description
Having a magnification of 5×8°, this was the gunners main aiming scope. It was used in conjunction with the 7.5cm StuK37 and 7.5cm KwK37 cannons!
Made of aluminum and steel, this anti-tank aiming scope was manufactured between 1940 and 1944. It retains 85% of its original Dunkelgelb paint and finish, with a FIELD APPLIED camouflaged sighting head! As it was pulled from a wreck in Normandy, there are some slight marks and damage as you can see in the photos. Not to be confused with the common Sfl. Z.F 1a, this is the FIRST variant, designed to attach to the standard Rundblickfernrohr mount! No major corrosion or damage! The manufacture code and data information is stamped into the side, indicating:
Sfl.Z.F. 1 beh + T 2866 All optics are VERY CLEAR, but do feature a lot of dust particles. The good thing is that this is probably the EASIEST scope to clean, so anyone can do it without having to get it professionally serviced (I can instruct the winning bidder on how to do it). I have shown it’s location in the last photos, as well as wartime image of the same reticle (Russian Front). A VERY NICE scope that would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
