Description
Joachim Otto August Achatius von Kortzfleisch (3 January 1890 – 20 April 1945) was a German general in the Wehrmacht during World War II. As the commander of the Military District III (Berlin), he had a role in ensuring the failure of the attempted coup after the 20 July Plot attempt to assassinate Adolf Hitler, which was led by Kortzfleisch’s distant cousin, Claus von Stauffenberg. Killed when he resisted surrendering to American troops. Made of heavy card, this postcard is in EXCELLENT condition! Featuring a photographic image of Joachim von Kortzfleisch, it is signed in ink at the bottom. Some marks and wear due to the age on the reverse, but nothing that detracts. 100% original, it would look EXCELLENT framed! A PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
