You are bidding on a SUPERB and 100% ORIGINAL unused example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Junkers Ju-52 “Tante-Ju” Main Öl-Tank (Oil Tank)!

The Junkers Ju 52/3m (nicknamed Tante Ju (“Aunt Ju”) and Iron Annie) is a German transport aircraft manufactured from 1931 to 1952, initially designed with a single engine but subsequently produced as a trimotor.  It had both civilian and military service during the 1930s and 1940s. In a civilian role, it flew with over 12 airlines including Swissair and Deutsche Luft Hansa as both a passenger carrier and a freight hauler. In a military role, it flew with the Luftwaffe as a troop and cargo transport and briefly as a medium bomber. The Ju 52 continued in postwar service with military and civilian air fleets well into the 1980s. The aircraft has continued to be used well beyond that date for purposes such as sightseeing.

Made of aluminum, this Oil Tank is a FANTASTIC find!  Though there are some marks, dents, and wear, it is in EXCELLENT, unused condition and 90% of the original paint still remains!   This tank was mounted on the forward firewall of the Ju52, to supply oil to the engines.  Features a very large and clear data plate, indicating “Ju52”, as well as a 1941 production date.  There is no corrosion internally, so it could most likely be used in an airworthy project (will leave that up to the winning bidder to determine).  Appears to still be factory sealed.  I have shown its location in the last photos.  An EXCELLENT addition to to any collection, restoration, or simply for display!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
