WW II German Aircraft DR3 Dreieckrechner – FLIGHT CALCULATOR – June 1944 – RARE

This is the RARE 3rd model type of the navigation computer, produced in 1944.  It allowed the pilot or navigator to correctly calculate the aircraft’s flight path using outside air temperature, path, speed, and current climb/descent.  Similar to the yellow oil cloth maps that are printed in a YELLOW tint for night flying and low light visibility, this flight computer was also produced for this specific reason.

Made of plastic and metal, this Dreieckrechner is in EXCELLENT condition for it’s age. It is 100% complete, and clearly indicates Fl. 23825 and manufacture date of June 1944. Though it is 100% complete and FULLY functional, there are some marks and wear…as well as a chip (see photo). It is 100% functional and retains 98% of it’s original finish!  Would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
