Description
Mounted on the main instrument panel, this clock needs no introduction. It was made famous throughout the war as the standard German Aircraft Cockpit Clock. It was usually mounted on the front or side cockpit consoles and features a chronometer, adjustable bezel, and a 30-minute timer.
Made of aluminum with a bakelite bezel, this 2nd model Junghans clock is in AMAZING used condition! Obtained directly from author Konrad Knirim, this EXACT clock is featured on page 327 of his book, titled, “Military Timepieces”. It retains 95% of it’s original RLM66 surface paint (cockpit colour), and features the screw on back. Some light marks and scratches throughout from age, but nothing that take away from the overall appearance. The dial still glows at night (must be charged with UV light), and it is 100% complete! It is also 100% FUNCTIONAL! Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection, panel re-build, or restoration project!
