Description
You are bidding on a FANTASTIC and 100% ORIGINAL WW2 German Luftwaffe Beschlag in Rumpf (Fitting in Fuselage), 109.100-1801, as ONLY used in the Me109 F thru G series aircraft! This was recovered from the wreck of an Me109 G6 that was lost over the Eastern Front. I will provide the loss info and dig photos to the winning bidder.
Located at the rear of the fuselage of the Me109 G, this was the MAIN Tail Gear Mounting Pivot.
Made of solid steel and aluminum, this item is in EXCELLENT used condition! It does feature some slight pitting and marks, but NO major damage to the steel mount itself (some slight bends)! Most likely still airworthy, it still retains the original Tail Gear Mounting Bolts, as well as a small section of gear. The mounting tab for the gear retraction cylinder still remains, which is quite rare, as these usually break off from impact.. I have indicated it’s location in the last photos. Would make a SUPERB addition to any restoration project, collection, or display!
