Description
You are bidding on a VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Junkers Ju87 “Stuka” Upper Wing Section! This specific item came from a downed Ju87 that crashed in the Ukraine, however I do not have any further loss history. The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, “dive bomber”) is a German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, it first flew in 1935. The Ju 87 made its combat debut in 1937 with the Luftwaffe’s Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War of 1936–1939 and served the Axis in World War II from beginning to end (1939–1945). Made of aluminum, this Ju87 Wing Skin Section is a SUPERB piece of history! Retaining 80% original camouflage paint, this originates from the upper right wing. It does feature some scratches, marks and bends due to the age, but it is still VERY solid! Also retains some of the original rib structure! Some slight corrosion. I have indicated the area of the Ju87 this panel is from in the last photos. Measuring approx. 46″ x 46″ in size, it would make for s SUPERB display! A VERY RARE addition to any collection or restoration project! Please email me if you need additional photos or information.
