Description
You are bidding on a VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Luftwaffe Junker Ju88 Fuselage Section! Recovered from the Eastern Front, however I do not have any loss history. Made of aluminum, this Ju88 Fuselage Section is a SUPERB piece of history! Due to the lack of internal primer, this dates around 1943-1945. It retains MUCH of it’s original paint, and features the famous cross! Much of the white paint has come away, so what you are seeing for the most part is bare aluminum. The Cross (though it looks black) is actually RLM70, indicating that this is from a later aircraft, where they did not paint the black interior of the cross. There is sone small section of RLM71 that remains on the left side. It does feature some scratches, marks and bends due to the age, but it is still VERY solid! Also retains all the original rib structure! I have indicated the area of the Ju88 this section is from in the last photos. Measuring approx. 26″ x 45″ in size, it would make for s SUPERB display! A VERY RARE addition to any collection or restoration project! Please email me if you need additional photos or information. |
