Description
Development of protective flight uniforms and equipment began with the advent of military aircraft in WWI and continued on into the Weimar and the Third Reich eras, resulting in three distinct one-piece combination pattern flight suits being approved before WWII and worn for the duration of the war with minor modifications. This auction features an 100% guaranteed pre-1945 German Flight Suit. In slightly used condition, with slight wear and marks throughout, it is manufactured in light brown/tan cotton. It has a full length zipper in the front, as well as sleeve, ankle, and various access zips. All zippers are made by RAPID and REINNADEL. The snaps are marked, “W.U.H.”, and the original leather neck strap is also still present! It a manufacture label clearly indicates, “Karl Heisler, Berlin”. The colors are still VERY sharp, and all zippers that are present are 100% functional! Sadly, a couple zipper pulls are missing, as well as one snap. Otherwise, it is in near PERFECT condition. Would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection or display! |
