Description

You are bidding on a BEAUTIFUL print titled “Doolittle – Moment Of Destiny” by Robert Taylor

From a limited edition of 386/600 this auction features a VERY NICE print by Robert Taylor.  Robert Taylor captures the final moments before Colonel Jimmy Doolittle’s take-off from the carrier Hornet, just before 8.20am on April 18, 1942. The tension aboard the carrier reaches a crescendo as Doolittle brings the engines to full power, his B-25 straining against the brakes. Within seconds he will hurtle off the deck, followed by 15 intrepid Doolittle Raider crews; their destination, Tokyo.  It is signed by Robert Taylor.

This item has been stored FLAT since 1997, however it may have some slight wear on the edges, not seen in the photographs.

Measuring approx. 19″ x 15″ in size, it would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
