You are bidding on a VERY NICE used example of a WW2 USAAF Bomber Aircraft “Lead Crew Manual” for the B-24 Liberator!  Once belonging to Jack J. Wolfman who flew B-24 bombers between 1943 and 1945, this was issued to all lead bomber crews of the 2nd Bombardment Division of the 8th Air Force.  Specific to the B-24 Liberator.

Made of paper, this is a VERY NICE used example.  Though there are some marks, wear, folds, and light tears, but nothing that detracts.  The staples are missing, so at this time, all pages are loose.  it si 100% complete, and is filled with descriptive text, humours drawings, and photos.  It covers all aspects of being the Lead Crew…sepcifically:

Individual Responsibilities and Functions

(Pilot, Co-pilot, Navigator, Bombardier, Lead Radio Operator, Lead Crew Gunners, Lead Airplane

Section Responsibilities

(Group Operations, Group Intelligence, Group Engineering, Bombsight Department, Group Armament and Communication, Group Barbadier, Group Navigator, Squadron Commanders

The Mission

Assembly, Enrout, Straglers and Evasive Action, IP to Target, Rally, Route Out, Return to base

Procedure Checklist:

Air Commander, Pilot, Navigator Bombardier Radio Operator, Gunner

A rare and VERY hard to find original example, it would make an EXCELLENT addition to any collection, display, or simply as a conversation piece!

All sales are final, so please make sure your questions are answered to your satisfaction before you purchase.

——————- ABOUT ME —————–

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
