Description
Manufactured for the US Navy, the Collins MBF Radio Transceiver was specifically designated as COL-43065. It was a piece of equipment used by the US Navy and is documented in the Navy Radio manual NAVSHIPS 900,508. It included both transmitting and receiving capabilities including ship-to-ship, ship-to-shore, and potentially aircraft communication.
Made of brass, aluminum, and steel by Collins, this MBF Radio Transceiver Unit is in EXCELLENT used condition! It is a bit dirty, but retains 95% of its original paint! Various marks, scratches and wear due to the age, but nothing that detracts. All data plates are intact, and it is 100% complete internally, apart from one missing tube. The previous owner added an electrical cord to supply power. It does turn on, so it is functional to a degree…but I did not have a radio antenna to test it fully (also the missing tube will play a factor). Selling as non-functional and as-is. Comes with the original shock mount platform that is usually missing. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
