Description
During World War II, Waltham, Bulova, and Elgin produced a variety of time pieces to support the war effort. These particular 8 day clocks were used in the cockpits of B-17s and B-29s. Named the A-11, they matched the name of the accompanying wrist watches also used by pilots of the time.

The casing itself is quite good, retaining most of its finish, with some slight signs of wear, but nothing that detracts. The ODD feature is the dial. I have insected the dial, and this is EXACTLY how it was made (I thought it may have been a label placed over top of the original). Not sure if this was something that Elgin converted post-war, or something wartime. Selling for parts or repair, it would make an EXCELLENTaddition to any collection or display!
