You are bidding on an AMAZINGLY RARE example of a WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy Type 91 Mechanical Fuse! 100% INERT, this was specific to the 12.7mm Type 89 AA.
As the Army and Navy were very distinct and separate branches, bomb fuses, as well as bomb casing designs were specific to each service. One of the main difference between the was that the safety forks were inserted over the top of the fuse, as opposed to the navy type, whereas the fork was inserted into the side. The Type 91 was a mechanical time fuse, with setting between 0 and 55 seconds, in one second increments.
Made of brass, aluminum, and steel, this Japanese Navy Type 91 Fuse is in VERY NICE condition for it’s age! There is some slight wear, scratches, and marks, but it is still VERY SOLID! It retains 95% of it’s original finish, and features some FANTASTIC markings and inspection stamps! Measuring approx. 3″ x 3″ in size, it this is an EXTRAORDINARILY RARE piece, and would make a SUPERB addition to any collection, display, or restoration project!!

——————- ABOUT ME —————–
Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
