WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy – TURN & BANK INDICATOR – MODEL 2 – A6M D4Y J2M D3Y

 This instrument measured the current Turn and of the aircraft by the use of air pressure.  It was located on the main instrument panel of the Mitsubishi 53/63 A6M5 Zero, Kyushu J7W1, Mitsubishi A7M1, Aichi M6A1, Aichi B7A1, Ki-115(NAVY TYPE), Kugisho P1Y1, Aichi B7A1, Aichi E16A1, Nakajima C6N1, Mitsubishi A7M1 Model 33, Kugisho D4Y1, and Mitsubishi J2M1.  

Made of aluminum and steel, this indicator is of late war manufacture. It still retains 95% of it’s original finish, and features a late-war Type 4 Decal Data Label, clearly indicating the model, manufacture, and production number. The dial still glows when UV light is applied! Like most Japanese instruments, it is VERY RARE and would be a SUPERB addition to any Japanese instrument collection!
