You are bidding on a SUPERB used example of a WW2 Imperial Japanese Navy HX-966 Radio Vacuum Tube! These were used in various Receivers, Transmitters, and Transceivers throughout the war.
This large tube was usually used in conjunction with the Imperial Japanese Navy portable “TM Handy Wireless” radio, often used during naval landings. It is of the telegraph type and with the mobile radio telegraph, is the typical communication equipment and material of the naval marines. Because it is handy, it could be used communication between vessels, or from vessels to shoreline. In addition, it was the auxiliary wireless radio of the small-sized warships and was used at various naval ports.
Made of glass, aluminum, brass, and steel, this Imperial Japanese Navy HX-966 Radio Tube is in EXCELLENT used condition! Some slight marks due to the age, but NO damage or corrosion! Still retains some of the original green paint in area. All markings are intact, however, I am n sure if it is functional, so I am selling as-is. Would make a FANTASTIC addition to any radio collection, display, or restoration project!
