Description
Made of a solid brass, aluminum, and steel by NIKKO (Nikon), this set of binoculars is in EXCELLENT used condition! Manufactured in 1945, they retain 95% of their original paint, and all optics are VERY CLEAR, though there is some slight spotting and dust particles and you can see in the photos. Optical alignment is also almost perfect! Features a gradient scale in the right eye piece (though to get a photo of, but you can see it in the last photos). The right side features a prominent data plate indicating; “20×3”; the manufacture name; and serial number “3208”. Some paint chips and marks as you can see in the photos…as well as some scratches and small dents. The 120mm front objectives are slightly recessed, and both focus adjustment (though quite stiff) function perfectly! Sadly, the previous owner decided to take it apart at one time, and mounted the oculars backwards. In doing so, he also damaged the threads and some of the brass (see photos). For sure it is repairable, but I will leave that to the winning bidder. Due to the large weight and size, I have had to estimate the shipping costs. I will provide a more accurate cost to the winning bidder (dependent on shipping location). It would make a SUPERB addition to any collection or display! |
