Description
There are three types of Japanese field telephones known to exist. The standard telephone was the Type 92, however the Imperial Japanese Navy SNLF also had a similar unit made towards the end of the war that reflects the shortage of materials. Like their rifles and other equipment, they deteriorated in quality during the course of the war, and these items demonstrated that. The naval blockade and the constant bombing of their factories took it’s toll on production facilities and raw materials. Due to the limited amount made, they are considered the most scarce telephone the Japanese made.
Made of plastic and steel this Japanese Field Phone Battery is in NICE used condition! Originating from the Navy SNLF Field Phone I currently have listed, this would have also been used to power the standard Army Type 92 variant (though the Type 92 took a total of two batteries, as opposed to one). Some wear, marks, and cracks throughout, but nothing that detracts. Obviously not functional, due to the age. Would be FANTASTIC addition to any collection or display!
