Description

You are bidding on a NICE set of WW2 Imperial Japanese Army/Navy 7×50 (7.1°) Binoculars!  This style was specifically used by Army and Navy personnel for observation, recognition, and reconnaissance purposes!

These binoculars were carried by most member of the military.  They feature uncoated lenses (as with most Japanese binoculars), and wide-angled 7.1 degree lenses.

Made of aluminum, brass, and steel by Nikko/Nikon (?), these 7 x 50 power binoculars are in EXCELLENT used condition!  The lens bodies retain about 95% of their original black finish, as well as the end piece fittings.  Eye sockets are intact, and the focus adjustment still function on both eye pieces!  The only issue is that the optics are a bit out of alignment…but otherwise, the optics are VERY clear, with minimal spitting!  Right side reticle features a ranging/targeting grid, that is marked 0-80 (hard to take a photo of).  The left side body is well marked with the serial number, and  7 x 50 mm  7.1°.  Some very slight wear and marks due to the age, but otherwise SUPERB!  The original strap is also included, which is quite unique (usually they are missing, or replaced).  Features one eye piece cover.

The case is original to this set, and also retains the original carrying strap.  Some marks and wear to the age, but still solid!  Some damage as you can see in the photos.  There is some writing/numbers on the carring strap, and included in the top flap are two sets of PERFECT lens filters – one set being a slight yellow, and the other being a slight orange.   Case is worn due to the age, but still quite solid!

Would make a SUPERB addition to any Japanese or optics collection!

Although my passion is the Me109, I do offer many other German Aircraft (Fw190, Me262, etc.), as well as USAF and Japanese items. Occasionally I do offer many non-vintage items such as prints and art relating to the time period. As a private collector myself, I am constantly on the lookout for historical memorabilia, authentic photographs, artwork or anything unique relating to military aircraft.
