Time played an important role in military life during World War Two. Each country had its own variation of night timepieces, which were all similar in design. The Japanese timepieces primarily bore the manufacturer’s name of “SEIKOSHA,” (Seiko), and featured the following characteristics:

Pre-1940 – brass block metal case assembly and exterior components
1941–1945 light aluminum block metal case assembly
Rotating rim with red, blue, and green arrows for marking time
Large Arabic numerals
Four-cornered screw hole emplacements for fastening to the aircraft’s instrument panel
Large brass winding button (pre-1940)
Large light aluminum alloy or Bakelite winding button (1941-45)
Made of brass, aluminum, and steel, this Seikosha Aircraft clock is in SUPERB used condition! It retains 95% of the original paint, and the dial and hands both glow when UV light is applied! Some slight marks due to the age, but overall features minimal wear. The data plate is still attached, and clearly indicates the manufacture and model. 100% FUNCTIONAL, I have indicated it’s location in the last photo. Like most Japanese instruments, this is a VERY RARE item, and would male a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
