WW2 Imperial Japanese Army Navy – TYPE 2 AERIAL CLUSTER BOMBLET – VERY NICE!

You are bidding on a SUPERB example of a 100% INERT WW2 Imperial Japanese Army / Navy Issue Type 2 Aerial Cluster Bomblet!
The Japanese 2 1/3 kg HEAT (High Explosive Anti-Tank) Cluster Bomb sub munition. When the larger bomb was dropped, it would then burst open, releasing these “bomblets”, which would spread out, increasing the area of effect.  It was originally developed from the Japanese shaped charge rifle grenade, which was itself widely believed to be a near-identical copy of the German Gewehr Panzergranate.  The bomblet measures 1 1/2 inches (40mm) wide 10 inches in overall height, and features an arming cup/vane for the wind activated screw safety which activated the base detonating fuze.

Made of a aluminum and steel, this item is in EXCELLENT condition!  It was manufactured between 1942 and 1945, and features MUCH of its original paint and finish!  Arming van is still complete, which is quite rare, as they are usually missing or broken.  No breaks, damage, or cracks!  A PERFECT item for any collection or display!
