Description
This instrument measured the current Turn and of the aircraft by the use of air pressure. It was located on the main instrument panel of the Nakajima Ki-27, Tachikawa Ki-36, Tachikawa Ki-9, Tachikawa Ki-54.
Made of brass and aluminum, this indicator is of early war manufacture. It still retains 90% of it’s original finish, however, the data plate is missing. The luminescent paint has also flaked away over time (common). As it was removed from a Japanese aircraft, it features some wear and marks throughout. The front has a flux adjustment lever, however it is currently very stiff, and will need to be oiled/cleaned, in order for it to move freely. I have indicated it’s location in the last photo. Like most Japanese instruments, this item is VERY rare and would be a SUPERB addition to any collection or display!
