WW2 Imperial Japanese Army – 10×50 SEARCHLIGHT REMOTE CONTROL TELESCOPE – RARE!

You are bidding on an EXCELLENT and VERY RARE set of WW2 Imperial Japanese Army 10×50 Remote Control Searchlight Telescope!

During WW2, the power of searchlights improved which meant that telescopes became necessary, as there was a demand for operation from a distance. As a result, a remote-controlled observation station that utilized a telescope was invented.

Made of aluminum, brass, and steel by Toko, this 10×50 power Remote Controlled Searchlight Telescope is in SUPERB used condition! The lens bodies retain about 95% of their original finish, as well as the end piece fittings. Eye sockets are present, and the focus adjustment still functions on both eye pieces! Sadly, the rubber eyecups have deteriorated over time. The optics are AMAZINGLY clear, with no spotting! The right side body is well marked with the impressed, “Toko” logo and the serial number 1069. Some very slight wear due to the age, but otherwise SUPERB! Case is original to this set, and features some marks and wear. Serial number on the box matches the number on the optics. Also comes with an adjustment tool, and spare rubber eyecups (all have deteriorated and are not usable).Would make a SUPERB addition to any Japanese optics collection!
