WW2 German Wehrmacht ZG6-01 Lichtmorsegerät – MORSE CODE SIGNAL LAMP – VERY RARE

You are bidding on a SUPERB and VERY RARE example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht ZG6-01 – REIHE II Morse Code Trench Signal Lamp! This was used as a way of communication between various strong points and trenches throughout the war.  Complete with the original transport box!

A signal lamp is a visual signaling device for optical communication, typically using Morse Code.  It is a focused lamp which can produce a pulse of light, via a manually operated pressure switch.  The lamps were usually equipped with some form of optical sight.

They provide handy, secure communications during periods of radio silence as well as other times and were particularly useful during trench warfare.

Made of wood, aluminum, glass, and steel, this Morse Code Signal Lamp is in SUPERB condition for its age! Made in occupied Czechoslovakia by Telegrafen Werkstätten KBLEY in Prag, there are some slight scratches, wear, and paint chips due to the age, but still retains 95% of it’s original paint! The Generator and Volt meter are 100% FUNCTIONAL, and it is complete with ALL original parts and accessories (small tools, mounts, light bulbs, control switch, etc.), as well as all THREE colored light filters (though the pouch to store them is missing).  Usually when these come up they are missing a lot of parts. Retains the original brass data plate on the top of the box, and internally it features a WaA inspection stamp. Normally never seen on the market in this condition or completeness, it would make a PERFECT item for any collection or display!
