Description
The Gewehr-Zielfernrohr 4-fach (Gw ZF4) was developed following German
evaluation of captured Soviet PU sniper optics and semi-automatic Tokarev
rifles. The goal was a quickly produced, standardized 4-power optic suitable for
mass issue alongside the newly adopted G43/K43 platform, while also remaining
capable as a designated marksman or sniper sight. Although wartime quality
control varied, properly assembled examples such as this one proved effective in
service. The scope features stamped steel construction, a right-side elevation
drum graduated in 50-meter increments from 100 to 800 meters, a top-mounted
windage adjustment, and the classic German three-post
reticle.
Made of steel, this ZF4 Sniper Scope is in EXCELLENT used condition! Manufactured by ddx (Voigtländer & Söhne AG,
Braunschweig), there are some slight marks, wear, and natural patina due
to the age, but features NO damage! The manufacture information is prominently
stamped into the side, and indicates:

Elevation adjustment functions
perfectly, windage turns smoothly and operates as designed with the subtle
internal movement typical of original ZF4 optics. The glass is CLEAR, however, it is a bit hazy…so it could use a bit of a cleaning. A 100% ORIGINAL ZF4 Sniper Scope, it would make a PERFECT for addition to any collection or
display!
