Description
You are bidding on a VERY RARE set of WW2 German Wehrmacht 8×30 Field Binoculars! These were brought back by US veteran at the end of the war.
The German Army and Navy used a wide variety of optical equipment, including a 6×30 (6 power magnification with 30mm objective lens), 7×50, 8×30, 10×50 and others, being the standard issued optics used by all branches of service. Though this type was the standard, specialized personnel required stinger optics, and were issues to personnel on a limited basis.
Made of aluminum and steel by Carl Zeiss, these 8×30 power binoculars are in VERY GOOD used condition! The lens bodies retain about 85% of their original, finish, and the end piece fittings are 100% intact! The focus adjustments still functions, and the optics are 100% in alignment! No dust or debris internally, and they are marked:

These come with the original black bakelite case. The case does show some wear and marks, and the leather straps to attach to a belt have worn away…but it is still quite usable. Leather strap is original to this set. MUCH rarer than the standard 6×30, these are a VERY NICE example, and would make a PERFECT addition to any collection or display!
