Description
You are bidding on a VERY NICE and 100% ORIGINAL example of a WW2 German Wehrmacht 2nd Class War Merit Cross (without Swords) Issue Envelope!
Introduced on October 18, 1939, in two distinct classes, both with and without swords, this medal was awarded to both military and civilian personnel for exceptional service or bravery, in a non-combatant role. The addition of swords to the award signified bravery, while awards without swords were for service.
Made of a heavy paper, this award envelope in VERY nice condition! It features some slight marks and wear throughout, but nothing that detracts. Reverse is marked by the maker “Friedrich Orth”. A VERY NICE addition to any collection or display!
